Not For Sale

You can make certain books not for sale or completely remove them from your website. Books that are not for sale will display in search results and customers can view the book’s information, but they can’t add the book to their cart and see a message indicating the book is not for sale. If you remove a book from your site, customers see the removed book message specified for the particular title or the default message. Marking books not for sale or removing them is based on the book ISBN. Because of this, you’ll need to repeat the steps below for each format or edition the book is available in.  

Mark a book not for sale

1. Search for the book you want to NOT sell on your website.
2. On the book’s product page, select Edit.
3. Expand Store details.
4. Select Not for sale.
5. Leave the default Not for sale message or enter a custom message for this title. For example, explain why your store doesn’t sell this particular book. The default message is “This title is not for sale” and you can select the default Not for Sale message link to go directly to where you can modify this message that displays for all books marked as not for sale.
6. Select Save to save the changes to the book. 

Remove a book from your website

1. Search for the book you want to remove from your website.
2. On the book’s product page, select Edit.
3. Expand Store details.
4. Select Remove book from this site.
5. Leave the default Remove book message or enter a custom message for this title. For example, state why your store removed this particular book. The default message is “This title has been removed from the site” and you can select the default Remove book from this site message link to go directly to where you can modify this message that displays for all books removed from the website. 
6. Select Save to save the changes to the book.
